Laminating Epoxy Resin System for Carbon Fiber

Low viscosity, clear, epoxy resin system with high elongation for high performance filament winding, laminating and tooling applications. Excellent resistance against acids, alkalis and water.  Good Thermal Shock Properties. The pot life and gel time can be adjusted with other hardeners. 

FEATURES :  Good wetting of reinforced fibers – Medium viscosity 

High heat distortion  Temperature  – High toughness with good mechanical properties

 NOTE:

There is full through-cure at room temperature.

TYPICAL CURE SCHEDULES

 Use a maximum heat up rate of 20°C per hour. Cool at a maximum rate of 20°C per hour:

To obtain a HDT of 100 C, post cure to 100C                    

 2 hours at 60°C + 2 hours at 80 C + 2 hours at 100C

– Use of barrier creams

– Use of suitable hand cleaners

STORAGE

The shelf life is 12 months in unopened containers at room temperature.
