CR272 / CH 321 Vacuum Forming System
Features Low shrinkage – Non abrasive – Low exotherm – Aluminium filled Post-curing required – Good Heat Conduction
Epoxy casting resin system for high temperature vacuum forming moulds. Extremely low exotherm and very high temperature resistance. Hardens at room temperature. It has to undergo post curing if the tool is required to operate above 60 Deg. C. Casting thickness 60 mm- thicker moulds should be cast in layers. Resin must be “tacky” for best adhesion between layers.
Description
Colour: Aluminium Black
Mixing Ratio:
CR 272 : CH 321S 100 : 15 by weight
Viscosity:
CR272 24000 to 30000 mPa.s at 25 Deg. C
Mixed 8000- 10000 mPa.s
Pot Life: 30 to 40 minutes at 25 Deg. C
Gelation Time: 2,0 – 2,5 Hours at 25 Deg. C
(Test tube Gelnorm DIN 16945)
Demoulding Time: 12 – 24 hours at 25 Deg. C or
6 – 12 hours at 40 Deg. C.
Demoulding should be carried out after 12- 24 hours at room temperature. Warming the resin to 40 Deg. C will speed up demoulding times. Mould must be post cured to obtain the required HDT.
Post Curing: 12 Hr at 25 C + 5 Hr at 80 C + 5 Hr at 120 C It is not advisable to put the mould in operation before post curing.
CHARACTERISTICS after CURE
