Resin FR58 – Hardener FH59
Low viscosity, clear, flexible, slow setting, epoxy resin system for flower resin with a 3 : 1 mix ratio.
Flexible and soft.
FH59 has excellent colour and very low viscosity and low shrinkage.
Very good UV and weathering resistance. UV additives added.
For silk flowers, mix slowly the correct weight of FR58 + FH59 in a clean container, measure by weight, preferably.
In hot weather (30 C or above) add slightly less hardener (770g + 230 g). This might slow the reaction further.
Transfer to another clean container, scrape the sides and stir a few times. Or pour into the glass vase, and stir a few times.
Slow stirring is important to avoid excess air bubbles. This resin system will take at least 48 hours to gel.
Setting too fast may lead to over-heating, can yellowing.
Wet the flower stems slightly with the resin mix, to remove any air bubbles trapped against the stems.
