Our pebbles are smooth, and polished. Unlike conventional mine crusher stones used by many companies, our pebbles shine and produce vivid seamless floors.
Normally applied by experienced applicators, but can be applied by DIY.
Some Ideas for DIY applicators:
Must be applied with a steel trowel.
Use the applicator liquid, to wipe the trowel clean, using a rag or sponge.
Do not clean the trowel over the pebbles, as this liquid will contaminate the surface of the pebbles.
In winter, the working time of RE43 with 2% cat is 20 – 30 minutes; summer is 15 – 20 minutes You can add 1,5% to slow it down. That is why you must keep wiping the trowel, as it becomes very sticky as the resin starts to set. If you wan to go faster, get 2 trowels, and someone must wipe them for you, always outside of the pebbles.
If you not experienced, mix enough for half m2. You need a small syringe to measure 2% on 500g ( 10g) + 6,25 kg pebbles.
You can apply the primer today and apply the pebbles tomorrow.
I find that it might help applying the pebbles, in smaller sections. To create some kind of pressure and keep the pebbles neatly compacted, try placing 2 tiles on the floor, to create a box, or a corner, about half m2 , or less. Put some weights on the tiles. A tile 600 mm long, can make a box 0,6 x 0,6 = 0,36 m2.
If you place 0,36 x 12,5 kg of mixed pebbles inside this space, you can trowel them tight.
